The founders of Made Klean, being raised in Southern California with surfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and everything outdoors, feel very strongly in giving back by cleaning up our environment.
Many times every year we either join other events like a Surfrider beach clean up or volunteer to clean up a National Park. We found that it doesn’t take being involved in a huge event to make a big difference–just start doing something.
Every year, we feel very blessed to take part in a local clean up effort at Yosemite National Park. The entire team spends a week doing various tasks like cleaning out fire pits, moving picnic tables, and cleaning lots of trash. Even when we are on trash detail wearing our bright orange vests, just walking the grounds and looking up at the incredible beauty that God created is an amazing gift. We encourage everyone when out walking on a trail to just pick up a couple of pieces along the route. If everyone did this, our National Parks and trails would be even more beautiful.
